Jim Beam brand
Jim Beam is one of the topmost selling American bourbon whiskey brands. It is produced in Clermont, Kentucky, by Beam Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan. Suntory Holdings purchased the company in 2014 from Fortune Brands holding company which hand earlier purchased it from the Beam family. This number one bourbon whisky was established by Jacob Beam, who was a farmer. In 1795 Jacob Beam produced and started selling whisky barrels, which would eventually become the world's best-selling bourbon whisky brand – Jim Beam. The first barrel of corn whiskey to be sold was named Old Jake Beam Sour Mash. Seven Beam family generations have been involved in the production of this whiskey brand. The distillery started producing and selling bottled whiskey in 1880 under the brand name Old Tub. The brand was named Jim Beam whisky in 1943 in honor of James Beauregard Beam, who rebuilt the business after Prohibition ended. Some bottle labels were put on the James B. Beam signature and had the statement, "None Genuine Without My Signature." James B. Beam managed the business before and after Prohibition, rebuilding the distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, in 1933–1934. The James B. Beam Distillery was founded in 1935.
